Svaret på min fråga om var jag ska lämna papper, plast och aluburkar

Dear Lyden,

Welcome to the City of Lusaka and I hope you will have a wonderful Stay.

Thank you very much for your sentiments as regards Waste Management in he City and waste recovery and recycling in particular. Unfortunately as you rightly noticed all the waste is collected in a comingled manners and this is manly to limitations in the market for recyclables and also to the policy structures to support recycling still in its infancy. However there are some one or two companies collecting waste paper and plastics for recycling or otherwise for reuse in the cottage industry. This is mainly the paper and plastics from business houses as opposed to residences. Paper and plastics from business houses is mostly cleaner and dryer that one from households and the quantities are more economical to collect.

Should you require further information, do not hesitate to contact us.

Warm Regards
